Dr. Peter Lewis and Dr. Theresa Stotesbury give invited talks as part of the Canadian Society for Forensic Science's Webinar Series

Dr. Peter Lewis, Trustworthy AI Lab Director and Canada Research Chair, and Dr. Theresa Stotesbury, Assistant Professor in Forensic Science and head of the Forensic Chemistry and Materials Lab also at Ontario Tech, delivered a joint webinar at the Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Section of the Canadian Society for Forensic Science.

The webinar covered Dr. Stotesbury’s recent research in forensic blood substitutes, an overview of trust challenges in Artificial Intelligence, and introduced the team’s new NFRF-funded project on using interpretable AI techniques to reimagine bloodstain pattern analysis classification schemes, for use in the criminal justice system.
